Enova Technology Launches Enigma 2 - USB Hardware Crypto
SAN JOSE, Calif., Jul. 15, 2013 – Building on its heritage of expertise in hardware real-time encryption solutions, Enova Technology today announced the launch of the Enigma 2, a USB hardware crypto module (HCM) with NIST/CSE certified hardware AES ECB/CBC engine up to 256-bit strength. It is capable of encrypting existing data in place such as selective files and folders of any computer detectable storage devices including boot drive, external drive such as USB or 1394, network attached drive and virtual drives such as Dropbox, Windows OneDrive and Google’s GoogleDrive. Unlike software encryption that relies on CPU and other system resource, the Enigma 2 HCM performs authentication and cryptographic operations on the chip level that completely eliminates security weakness found on all software encryption products. User gets to send the encrypted files/folders through public network with confidentiality. Only the right recipient who has possessed the same key can successfully decrypt those received encrypted files and folders. Key Facts: Trusted Security Standards: NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology)/CSE (Communications Security Establishment) certified hardware AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) ECB/CBC engines up to 256-bit strength.
